Avellino Dark Blue Popelin Stripes
Avellino Dark Blue Popelin Stripes is a refined casual shirting fabric from ALUMO’s Avellino line—designed to capture the relaxed texture of linen while offering the superior comfort and easy care of pure cotton. It is woven as a Zephir fabric with Ne 120/2 yarns in the warp and a distinctive weft made of Ne 100/2 – 40/1 slub cotton, creating 52 warp threads and 33 weft threads per centimetre. This construction results in a lightweight, breathable fabric with an intentionally irregular surface.
The slub effect brings natural character and visual depth, reminiscent of a linen-cotton blend, yet made entirely from cotton. The dark blue striped design lends a timeless appeal while keeping the look informal and easygoing—perfect for a relaxed shirt with a touch of sophistication.
