Avellino Orange Popelin Stripes
Avellino Orange Popelin Stripes is a standout shirting fabric from ALUMO’s Avellino line, offering the rustic charm of linen with the comfort and performance of pure cotton. Woven using a Zephir construction with Ne 120/2 yarns in the warp and a special blend of Ne 100/2 – 40/1 slub cotton in the weft, it features 52 warp threads and 33 weft threads per centimetre. The result is a lightweight, breathable fabric with an organically textured surface and a subtly irregular handfeel.
The distinctive slub effect—created by the intentionally uneven yarns—mimics the relaxed character of linen, but without its typical stiffness or care requirements. The orange striped pattern adds vibrancy and a country-chic flair, ideal for casual shirts with a refined personality.
